BA (Hons) Counselling & Psychotherapy

Wayne is a qualified Psychotherapist holding an honours degree from Dublin Business School and is currently working towards accreditation. He works within the codes of ethics and practice as set out by with the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. Previously Wayne has volunteered with ISPCC ChildLine and also has a background in social care settings having worked with service users who are marginalised or disadvantaged in some way within the community such as those with serious illness and children on the autism spectrum. Wayne is committed to ongoing personal and professional development to allow for expansion of his knowledge and skills as a psychotherapist and has also completed some training in art therapy.

Wayne creates a warm, safe space for one to one counselling for adults working from a humanistic, psychodynamic and integrative model that also incorporates creativity and the transpersonal sphere. Wayne believes in a holistic approach to meeting clients which sees and validates all aspects of the person; cognitive, emotional, sexual and spiritual and in addition he incorporates some body-centred work in his practice. Wayne offers counselling and psychotherapy for issues including but not limited to: attachment, abandonment, loneliness, relationship issues, grief and loss, bereavement, depression, stress and anxiety, trauma, sexuality and gender issues, individuals impacted by disability, age related issues, work related issues.
